Fertilizer

Urea, also known as carbamide, is an organic compound. More than 90% of world industrial production of urea is destined for use as a nitrogen-release fertilizer. Urea has the highest nitrogen content of all solid nitrogenous fertilizers in common use. Its properties are known since early 1900 but the chemical reaction has been constantly improved since then and requires extremely high corrosion-resistence steels. Belleli mastered the welding of duplex and Super-duplex steels and constantly collaborates with the most important worldwide EPC in the Urea process.

Ammonia is a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen. A typical modern ammonia-producing plant first converts natural gas (methane) or LPG (liquefied petroleum gases such as propane and butane) or petroleum naphtha into gaseous hydrogen. The method for producing hydrogen from hydrocarbons is known as steam reforming. The hydrogen is then combined with nitrogen to produce ammonia. This product is a clear colorless liquid Corrosive to metals.

Belleli is a qualified supplier of all main process equipment involved in an Ammonia plant since 1974.
